Biography
Simon Waddington graduated in Mathematics: BSc (University of Durham, 1987), MSc (University of Warwick, 1998), PhD (University of Warwick, 1992). From 1997-2008, he held R&D positions at Motorola, BBC and Tandberg Television working on mobile and broadcast technologies. Simon was involved in both technology innovation and commercialisation. He has worked on several EC IST projects including being project manager of aceMedia (FP6). From 1993-97, he was an EC Marie Curie and DFG postdoctoral researcher in mathematics at the University of Göttingen.
