Note change of dates for the Dialogue Matters Final Workshop
LONDIAL 2 - 4 June 2008
The SEMDIAL series of workshops aims to bring together researchers working on the semantics and pragmatics of dialogue in fields such as artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, formal semantics/pragmatics, philosophy, psychology, and neural science.
These workshops are always stimulating and fun, and with King's being in the heart of London, just across from the South Bank Centre, there will be no shortage of evening entertainment.
There is also a session on dialogue situated in joint action (DSiJA) as part of LONDIAL.
LONDIAL 2008 will be held in conjunction with the closing workshop of the Leverhulme funded network Dialogue Matters: Foundations for Technology Development, initially set up between London (KCL, QMUL), Edinburgh/Glasgow, Stanford, Stony Brook, Gothenburg, and Essex, with additional collaborators now also participating.
The draft schedule for June 2nd and June 5th is now available on the Dialogue Matters website.
Speakers on June 2nd will include:
Cann and Kempson, Ginzburg, Healey, Mehler, Piwek, Schlangen and Skantze, Stent and Stone.
Speakers on June 5th, to be held at QMUL will include:
Branigan, Brennan, Lemon, Peters and Fernandez, Pickering, Rieser, Vasishth and Shaher. Demonstrations at the Augmented Human Interaction Laboratory at QMUL will take place on June 5th.
All LONDIAL participants are welcome to participate in both sessions of this workshop but please let Eleni Gregoromichelaki know that you will be attending.
