Research at King's

NIHR Research Centres

King’s is the only university to provide academic partnership in all three categories of NIHR research centres, involving collaborating with all three of its primary partner NHS Trusts: Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and  King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The centres were created in 2005 and are aimed at providing patients better access to ground breaking medicines and treatments, and supporting researchers carrying out health and social care research. The centres are external recognition of King’s unparalleled translational research portfolio.
