Other research ethics committees

International research

If you plan to conduct research with human participants overseas you will need to ensure that you apply to the relevant local research ethics committee and follow all local legal and governance requirements for the conduct of research. You must still apply through the College as well and will need to follow the relevant UK legislation and best practice guidance.

It is recommended that you apply for ethical approval in the host country before applying through the College to avoid any delays arising through having to change the application to comply with local requirements.
