How will this research be carried out?

Resources

Once you have determined what the scope of your project is likely to be, you will be in a position to determine what resources you will need to undertake all of the work. The following considerations should be borne in mind:

  • You should consult with your local research administrator and use the resources made available in the Budgets and Costs section to help you establish the full list of resources that you will need to complete the project.
  • Funders have different rules regarding eligibility of costs which can be legitimately included in a project budget and claimed as expenditure. You should read the specific call guidelines carefully and consult with staff within the Arts and Sciences Research Office if in doubt.
  • All of the costs that you request must be fully justified in terms of the project’s aims and objectives. This includes the costs associated with staff effort on the project. For Research Council applications, your proposed budget must be justified in the Justification for Resources document which forms part of your Je-S application.
