Timeline

The Pre-Award team must give institutional approval to all bids submitted for external funding and the mechanism for doing this varies according to the sponsor and the scheme.
The pre-award team will need to have received a fully signed RG form (usually RGA; departmental and School approval required) before submitting your application to the sponsor. The pre-award team will complete the final submission stage, either by submitting to the sponsor through the relevant electronic submission system, or by signing the hard copy of the application that is to be sent to the sponsor.
Therefore, please ensure you have both your proposal and approved RG form ready at least 5 working days before the submission date.
