Laboratory Research Project in Developmental Neurobiology (Final Year Module)

Programme description

To undertake an original research project in an active research laboratory on a topic within the area of Developmental and Clinical Neurobiology. Students will gain technical knowledge in lab work, and will attend lab meetings and seminars.

Possible topics for projects will include aspects of pattern formation in the early embryo, axon growth and guidance as well as more clinical subjects such as the basis of neurodegeneration and regeneration. Techniques learnt depend on laboratory.

Pre-requisites

You must be a major in either Life Sciences, Chemistry or Biology and have studied at least two relevant modules in both Chemistry and Biology. A cumulative GPA of 3.3 is also required
