Booking teaching rooms

Room bookings

To book or make an enquiry about booking a room at the Main IoP Building, the Academic Neuroscience Centre or 4 Windsor Walk please email Aniello Genovese providing the following information:

  • Date you require the room
  • Start/finish times
  • Numbers of attendees anticipated
  • A brief event or booking title
  • Your name and a contact telephone number

Please note that without this information a booking cannot be processed.

* Please note that we are currently unable to book rooms for users external to the IoP, owing to extensive building works being scheduled over the next few months.  Apologies for the inconvenience.

Cancellations

If you have already booked a room and it is no longer needed, please contact Aniello Genovese as soon as possible to cancel your booking. Please note that room usage is monitored.

News Update

Due to the recent improvement and refurbishment works throughout college, we will be able to offer more rooms through the IoP room booking system in the future. This will not affect bookings that you have already made. Please keep an eye out for future announcements and information.

Where can I book computers and other AV equipment?

AV equipment is available through the Media Support Unit

To make an AV equipment request please use their online booking form

I need to rearrange the furniture in the room, is this possible?

It is often possible to reorganise furniture in some rooms, but this will need to be arranged and agreed with Site Services. Make sure that you have allowed time for this to be done before the start of your event.  Do not try to move furniture yourself.

How can I arrange refreshments or catering?

You will need contact the Catering Department to make sure that they are able to provide a service in the room. Will you require a separate room for refreshment? If so, have you booked one?

I am not sure what room I am supposed to be in – how can I find out?

The first thing to do is contact your programme administrator. If you are unable to locate them, there is a list of room bookings for each week available from reception

Are the rooms accessible for people with disabilities and mobility difficulties?

All of our rooms are accessible to people with mobility difficulties. However, due to the location of some rooms it can take some time to negotiate the various corridors and elevators, so we would recommend allowing plenty of time to reach the room. If you have specific concerns about accessibility please contact Juliana Onwumere, Disability Advisor.

How can I arrange access to the site out of hours?

If this is a large event or out of hours, you will need to let Security know so they can ensure your guests are safe and that they have access to the right areas. Please contact Site Services.

How can I arrange additional Security for my event?

You will need to fill in a Site Services Online Request form.

I need to make a last minute booking – how do I do this?

Rooms should be booked as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. However, if you do need a room at the last minute we will try to accomodate you. Please contact Aniello Genovese: 0207 848 0326

I am not an IoP staff member – can I book a room?

Priority is given to teaching and events related to the IoP, but if a room is available it is possible to book a room as a non-IoP staff member, although you may incur a booking fee. For further information about costs and availability please contact Aniello Genovese: 0207 848 0326

Priority is given to teaching and so it is not always be possible to have the room that you request. If we are not able to give you the room that you request we will endeavour to provide you with a suitable alternative.
