IoP Café Scientifique ‘Kids’ will hold its first event – ‘What is your brain made of?’

In this session, children (aged 3 to 12 years old) will be able to visualise brain cells under the microscope, talk to scientists about the different parts of their brain, and draw and decorate the many types of cells found in the brain.

The event will run in the morning from 10.30 to 12.30 and will be held in seminar room 1 and 2 (enter via the main entrance) of the Institute of Psychiatry, De Crespigny Park, SE5 8AF.

The aim of Café Scientifique is to engage the local community with the exciting science being carried out at the Institute of Psychiatry, including neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry. This initiative is funded by the KCL Researcher Development Open Competition and Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Places are limited so booking is essential – e-mail us at iop_cafesci@yahoo.com
