Research Degrees

Introduction

The Department of Neuroimaging welcomes applications from those who wish to study for research degrees in any of our priority areas.

An MPhil or PhD degree requires students to undertake original research work under the supervision of two members of academic staff.  All students initially register for an MPhil, with the opportunity to transfer to a PhD after 6 to 18 months (subject to passing a transfer viva).

Identify a research area and supervisor

As part of the application process you are asked to name your potential supervisor(s) and provide a description of your research project.

If you wish to make an informal enquiry regarding either:

  •  Studying under the supervision of one of our staff or,
  • The suitability of your proposed area of research for studying within the Department 

Please contact Vincent Giampietro sending a copy of your CV and, if you are not applying for a funded studentship, a brief research proposal.
