Wireless networking is available to all King's email account holders and to visitors from organisations that participate in the Eduroam and JANET Roaming schemes.
The service is comprised of Eduroam. Visitors who do not have a King's account can connect to The Cloud Guest Wi-Fi.
Eduroam is a wireless network which allows users at King's and any participating organisation to log in using the same username and password that they would use at their home organisation. It is available to King's users visiting other participating organisations which include a large number of UK universities and abroad.
Connecting to Eduroam
- Pick the "Eduroam" network from the list of Wi-Fi networks
- Login using your King's username e.g. email@example.com and password.
- This will work anywhere where there is an Eduroam network

The Cloud - Guest Wi-Fi
‘The Cloud’ is a free service that provides free guest Wi-Fi.
Registration for the service is simple and can be completed directly from the welcome page once you connect to The Cloud – please click here for instructions on how to register your device.

Please note: The Cloud is a Guest Wi-Fi service. It is strongly recommended that all staff and students use the option above (eduroam) which provide a secure Wi-Fi service with full access to King’s IT services.
