Travelling in London
By London Underground
Travelling by the London Underground (the "tube") is one of the easiest and fastest ways of getting around London. Trains run from 5.30am to 12.30am. One-day Travel Cards allow unlimited travel on both the tube and bus and this is the most economic way of using public transport.
By Bus
There is an extensive night bus service (pdf, 105K) that runs from 12.30am throughout the night; fares start from £1.50 and Travel Cards can be also used on this service.
Transport for London provides a very useful service, the Journey Planner, for planning your journey using public transport, walking and cycling.
