Strand Campus entrance The Strand Campus is King's College's founding site, established by royal charter in 1829. It is situated in the heart of London, on the Strand. Located next to Somerset House and opposite the Aldwych, the Strand Campus is easily accessible from Underground and main-line stations.

The campus is currently undergoing a multi-million pound redevelopment which has transformed the Grade 1 Listed Building on the Strand. As a result of the redevelopment, the College won a prestigious Green Gown Award. The award recognised the ‘reduced energy and carbon emissions from a sustainable refurbishment of the historic South Range of the King's Building'.
