Waterloo campus

FWB entrance King’s College London is situated in the very centre of the city of London. The conference and the publisher's reception  will be held in the Franklin-Wilkins Building (FWB) on the Waterloo campus of the College. Room allocations for each session can be found on the programme. FWB  has a choice of modern well-appointed lecture theatres and smaller teaching rooms located over four floors. All rooms are have full air conditioning and are accessible by wheelchair. You may also find a virtual tour of the FWB helpful.
South Bank London Eye
The FWB is located on the South Bank of the River Thames,close to  the National Theatre  and the South Bank Centre (home of and the Royal Festival Hall, the Hayward, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Saison Poetry Library). It is  within walking distance of the Waterloo rail, underground and Eurostar stations. Other nearby attractions include the London Eye, the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern Gallery.

Bureau de Change
There is a Bureau de Change located between exits 4 and 5 at Waterloo Main Line Rail Station (7am-7pm).
 
Cash machines
There are free cash machines inside Waterloo station, including inside the Bureau de Change mentioned above. The nearest cash machine is located at the Lloyds Bank branch in York Road, opposite the station, about 5 minutes walk from the Franklin-Wilkins building.
 
Medical help
Advice and information are available from NHS Direct at 0845 4647. In an emergency, telephone 999 for an ambulance. Inside Waterloo station there is a MediCentre offering private treatment and walk-in GP service (£59 per consultation, student/concessions £39).
 
Pharmacy
There is a pharmacy at Boots, located between exits 4 and 5 at Waterloo Station, 020 76200 273 (Mon-Sat 7am-10pm, Sun 8am- 9pm).
 
Photocopying
There is no business centre at the conference venue. There is a FedEx Kinko's 15-20 minutes away: walk over Waterloo bridge and turn left on the Strand, 114 The Strand, 020 7632 8820 (Mon-Fri 7am-9pm). There is a photocopy machine inside "Waterloo Supermarket", 115 Waterloo Rd (five doors after Sainsbury's), 020 7401 7395, open 24 hours. There is a copy services shop, Call Print Services Ltd, 30 Dolben St., towards the South-East of Stamford Street, 020 7633 9068 (Mon-Fri 8.30am-6pm).

this is a self-service internet cafe, more than 1/2 hour walk from the conference venue: cross Waterloo bridge, turn left and walk along the Strand past Charing Cross Station, just before Trafalgar Square.

There is a small Sainsbury’s supermarket at 101 Waterloo Road, near the junction with The Cut, 020 7401 3823. This sells a range of groceries, toiletries and other items. It is open from 7am to 12am daily. There is a Costcutter, just underneath Waterloo Station, Units 17-19, York Rd, Waterloo, 020 72611 092 (open 24 hours).
