World questions|King's answers panel featuring Sir Robert Worcester, Prof Peter Parker, Dr Funmi Olonisakin and Prof Shitij Kapur

Gifts received since the launch of the World questions|King’s answers campaign have helped to push the total raised beyond the £200 million mark.

Alumni, staff and supporters have given the campaign an enthusiastic welcome, making 1,789 gifts for a total of £1,331,539 since the launch on 3 November. Recent gifts have included:

  • 259 alumni made individual gifts totalling more than £20,000 during the telephone fundraising campaign
  • The Heathside Trust continued its support of research into robotic surgery for cancer patients with a gift of £100,000
  • International banking group Santander has pledged support for a number of World questions|King’s answers initiatives, including £150,000 to support international scholarships

There is still a long way to go to reach our target of £500 million and many vitally important research projects to fund before the Campaign closes in 2015.
