PhD from the University of Zaragoza with a thesis on Exclusive Rights and Article 86 EC and Master of European Legal Studies at the College of Europe, Bruges. Jose Luis is currently Partner at Garrigues and leads the Brussels office of this Law firm. He worked previously at the European Commission (Legal Service, DG Competition, DG Internal Market and Cabinet of Commissioner Oreja) advising and litigating for the Institution in areas such as State aid or Antitrust. He is currently visiting professor at King’s College London and at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
José Luis is interested in all aspects of EU law and competition law, particularly State Aid and State intervention in the market.
