Thomas MacManus

Profile

Thomas is a PhD candidate at King's College London's School of Law. He holds a BA in Law and Accounting from the University of Limerick (2002) – which included one year at Tilburg University – and an LLM (with distinction) in International Law from the University of Westminster (2005). Thomas was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2004 and the Role of Solicitors of Ireland in 2008. He is Joint Editor of Amicus Journal and is a Fellow of the International State Crime Initiative.

Research

His doctoral research focuses on international criminal justice as applied to international corporations. This includes State Crime, State-Corporate Crime, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law and Corporate Crime.

Teaching & Employment Interests

Thomas is a Visiting Tutor at King's, tutoring contract law. He also runs a King's Summer School module - an Introduction to the English Legal System. He is interested in teaching postgraduate law and criminology in his area of research. He is also interested in research and advocacy work, and can be contacted at the above email address.
