How to find us

The Michael Howard Archives Reading Room and the Foyle Special Collections Library are based on two different sites on the Strand campus.
The map of the Strand campus at the foot of this page shows the location of both sites.

Archives

The Michael Howard Archives Reading Room can be found at room 302, on the third floor of the Strand Building. Here, readers can consult the College Archives, the Liddell Hart Centre for Military Archives, and the Liddell Hart Reference Library.

The nearest London Underground stations are Temple, Holborn, Charing Cross, Embankment.

The following bus routes stop in the vicinity of the Strand building: 1, 4, 6, 9, 11, 15, 23, 26, 59, 68, x68, 76, 77a, 91, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 341, 501, 505, 521 and 748

Foyle Special Collections Library

The Foyle Special Collections Library is located at the Maughan Library on Chancery Lane [labelled A on map below].  

The nearest London Underground stations are Chancery Lane, Holborn and Temple.

A number of bus routes pass either end of Chancery Lane, running along Holborn (8, 25, 242, 521) or Fleet Street (4, 11, 15, 23, 26, 76, 172, 341).

Upon arrival at the Foyle Special Collections Library entrance please ring the bell to the left of the door. Security staff will admit you and take you through to the Library.
