Visitor applications
King’s College London Library Services exists primarily to support the teaching, learning and research of its academic staff and students. We are also able to extend some of our facilities to other users as detailed below.
Please note that access is with the appropriate ID card as specified below. Anyone not entitled to use facilities or without correct identification may be refused access. You are advised to check your eligibility in advance.
Use of the libraries on all campuses is subject to Library Regulations.

Services Offered

Individuals will be entitled to borrow up to 3 four week loan books - overdue loans are subject to fines.

Photocopying facilities are available in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright, Design and Patents Act, 1988 .

The Copyright Licensing Agency Sticker Scheme is available to visitors who are photocopying for commercial purposes. Each sticker costs £9.00 and can be obtained from Service Desks.

The Library catalogue can be consulted at dedicated computers or via our website.
Service restrictions
Please note that material described as Short loan, One Day Loan, One Week loan, electronic information resources and computing services are not available to visitors.

* this charge will apply to King's students who defer or extend study (this may be waived on medical grounds)

How to apply
Please download and complete in full the Visitors application form available at the bottom of the page, indicating whether you are applying for reference or borrowing access. In some cases it is not possible to offer borrowing services.
Submit your application with a covering letter to the address below. The letter should explain fully why you need access to our information resources and the field in which you are interested.
