Information resources review
Library Services at King’s is about to embark on a major strategic review of the information resources collection across the College. The ultimate objective is for the College to articulate and adopt a new information resources collection policy and strategy that meets the diverse and changing requirements of students and staff, is affordable and consistent with the College’s strategy and academic aspirations.
The purpose of this review is to:
-
Provide information and an evidence base to facilitate an informed debate about the College’s future information resources collections policy.
-
Outline some of the choices and options we face in developing, funding and then implementing a future collections policy.
-
Determine a consensus on the aspirations and objectives for the next five years; to enable us to build better research and teaching collections locally and exploit partnerships more robustly.
-
Set a timeframe and process for discussion and consultation within the College for agreeing and commencing the implementation of a new policy.
