Transforming cancer services
The Integrated Cancer Centre is responsible for delivering cancer care to a population of over 1.6 million people. We are making significant investment not only in research but also state-of-the-art facilities to provide the best possible care to our patients.
We have opened the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care and have committed significant funds to building a new Cancer Treatment Centre for patients attending on a day-only basis. In the meantime we have rebuilt and refurbished our cancer day unit at Guy’s hospital, to ensure that the environment best suits the needs of our patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and is a welcoming, friendly place.
We put patients truly at the heart of our services and have undertaken a number of initiatives to help improve their experience of care. Read on to find out more about our:
