 Student in Laboratory

The Division provides excellent opportunities for postgraduate research.  Many of our students are involved in multidisciplinary research which involves collaboration with other laboratories and researchers, both within and external to King's Health Partners.  All students participate in the Division's annual Postgraduate Symposium and the School of Medicine Research Showcase event, both of which provide an opportunity to present and discuss work with academic staff and other researchers. In addition to the specialist training provided within the Division, postgraduate students also attend the Researcher Development Programme courses offered by the Graduate School.

Our students are funded by a variety of organisations including BBSRC, MRC, NHS and Government agencies, as well as industry and overseas sponsors. The Division periodically offers studentships, which fund a student's study.  We also accept enquiries and applications at any time, from suitably qualified, self-funded candidates who wish to study with an academic member of staff of their choice.  Our Research pages provide detailed information on the research interests of our academic staff and applicants should informally approach individual staff members for advice before applying.

See our section on how to apply for postgraduate research degrees within the Diabetes and Nutritional Sciences Division.
