The Division of Health and Social Care Research focuses on identifying causes, patterns and trends in disease occurence.
Research outcomes are informing clinical guidelines and national policy on the management of disases and provision of health and social care services.
Strong collaborative links exist with other Schools in the College and partner NHS Trust hospitals, including the Biomedical Research Centre and the Patient Safety and Quality Centre.
The Division provides a range of non-clinical and clinical postgraduate training opportunities. It also offers a mentorship scheme and researchers' forum.
Our clinical expertise covers primary care, public health, nursing and midwifery, while our disciplinary expertise in management covers health policy, gerontology, social work and social studies of science.
Cross disciplinary links with other King's departments include the School of Social Science and Public Policy: Geography; Ethics and Law; Health Policy; Management; Risk; the Centre for Biomedicine and the Health Schools.
