Education & Training

The Division of Health & Social Care Research Division provides a range of non-clinical and clinical undergraduate and post-graduate training opportunities, including PhD, MD and taught Masters level programmes.

The Department of Primary Care & Public Health Sciences delivers general practice training to every medical student at the King's College London School of Medicine at Guy's, King's College and St Thomas' Hospital.

Our undergraduate programme extends throughout the curriculum and gives students the opportunity to learn core knowledge and skills, develop professionally and have practical experience of patients in clinical environments.

Students and community-based teachers in over 350 practices are supported through lectures, symposia, clinical placements, tutorials, seminars and role-playing workshops.

Our postgraduate academic education is based around the MSc in Primary Health Care and the supervision of higher degrees, both PhD and MD. The MSc programme is designed to integrate the wide range of professions that contribute to primary healthcare.
