Research and teaching in the School of Medicine is organised through our Research Divisions. Research is strategically aligned to King’s Health Partners and its Clinical Academic Groupings, bringing together clinicians and academics and enabling outstanding basic and clinical sciences to be translated into improved patient care.
King’s College London, the academic partner with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, is one of 11 National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centres in the UK. The centres have a strong focus on translational research, taking advances in basic medical research out of the laboratory and into the clinical setting so that they can benefit patients.
