Biography
Dr Vince is a Paediatrician by trade, with strong interests in medical education, clinical risk and ethics. She took up her post in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine at Kings College Hospital in 2005 and then as Head of Clinical Assessment at KCL School of Medicine in 2006. Her academic work has centred on revising and standardising the structure of clinical assessments in undergraduate medicine. She has developed and implemented OSCE stations in clinical anatomy and medical ethics as well as standard subjects.
However, her main focus in recent years is domain based feedback, where OSCE stations are analysed according to skills’ domains. This a significant step forward from marks based feedback.
Her future work includes the development of a website dedicated to examiner training and student briefing.
Outside Kings, she is an examiner for the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health and represents Paediatrics on the Panel for the General Medical Council’s PLAB Part II Examination.
