About us
The Division of Women’s Health provides a multidisciplinary approach to tackling the origins, treatment and prevention of many of the health issues specifically pertinent to women, whether it be during their reproductive years or later in life.
King’s College London and associated hospitals have contributed to historic milestones in the improvement of women’s health. Today we work across the traditional boundaries of science, experimental medicine, the social sciences and mental health to lessen the burden of disease in women and to develop pathways towards lifelong health. The Division brings together academics across King’s Schools of Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Institute of Psychiatry and Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery to work towards the improvement of the health of women in our local, multicultural inner-city population and worldwide, through research and education.
The Division is the research arm of the Women’s Health Academic Centre of King’s Health Partners’ Academic Health Sciences Centre. We work closely with our clinical colleagues in women’s services at the three Trusts to translate research to patients and our local communities.
