Intercalating outside King's

Intercalating outside King's

Some students choose to spend their intercalated year away from King's College London undertaking a programme that King's does not offer.

When studying for an Intercalated BSc outside King’s, your registration for the academic year will be with that particular institution and not with King’s. You should note that you will therefore be able to maintain your King’s email account but that you will not have physical access to facilities such as the libraries.

If you are interested in taking an intercalated degree away from King’s you will need permission and this is normally only given for programmes that King's College London does not offer.

Please note that students will no longer be able to apply to intercalate externally on the Imperial College London Medical Sciences with Management intercalated BSc.  The new Health Care Management intercalated BSc  programme at King’s has been modelled on the Imperial programme and although the titles are different the two programmes are broadly similar.

To find out more about intercalating outside of King's College London, please read the procedure guidelines.
