Thyrathen: Secular Splendours of Byzantium

Byzantine civilization is often associated with ecclesiastical art and its secular dimension tends to be neglected. It is the latter that this day-long event will explore in short presentations by an array of internationally renowned scholars currently working on aspects of the secular world, its literature and material culture.
