Creative King’s is a College-wide initiative exploring the notion of creativity and its place in academic life at King’s, and encouraging dialogue and collaboration. It will be launched with a series of ten weekly discussions at the Strand Campus from January to March 2009.

Professor Alan Read will give the first talk, moderated by Dr Mark Miodownik of the Materials Research Group in the School of Physical Sciences and Engineering. Alan Read will pick apart notions of creativity, talk about his own research and creative practice, and explore how creativity can inform cross-disciplinary collaboration.

After the talk discussion will be opened to the audience. The event is followed at 19.00 by a wine reception in the Old Anatomy Theatre.
