Seminar: The West and Africa: 10 years after 9/11

Speaker: Professor Christopher Coker

Professor Christopher Coker has been at the LSE since 1982. He is the author of many books on war and in a previous incarnation on Africa, including Globalisation and Security in the 21st Century which was published as an Adelphi Paper for the International Institute for Strategic Studies in 2002. He served two terms on the Council of the Royal United Services Institute. He is a member of the Council of the Twenty-First Century Trust. He has written for The Wall Street Journal; the Times; The Independent; The Spectator; The Times Literary Supplement and the Literary Review. He is a regular lecturer at the Royal College of Defence Studies (London), the NATO Defence College (Rome), the Centre for International Security (Geneva) and the National Institute for Defence Studies (Tokyo). The seminar will finish around 1900 and be followed by a drinks reception.
