Katherine Barnes
Katherine Barnes is International PR Manager at King's.
Her role involves promoting research and corporate news to global media in order to raise the profile of King’s as a vibrant research hub and world-leading academic institution. She works with the Vice-Principal (International) and King's Worldwide to provide PR support for the International Strategy and communicate the College's international objectives to various internal and external stakeholders.
Katherine has a background in publishing, media and science communication and has worked internationally in Madrid, New York and Baku, Azerbaijan. Previous roles include working as an editor at Macmillan Publishers, press officer for Nature Publishing Group and as a freelance science writer, specialising in earth and environmental science. She has an MSci in Geology from UCL and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from the CIPR.
