Biography

Michael (Mike) Clode was appointed Lecturer in Metallurgy in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at King's College London in 1989. He has a BSc(Eng) in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Metallurgy. Mike is also a Fellow of IoM3.

Research Interests

Mike is a member of the Materials Research Group at King's and his interests are in the field of Materials and Manufacturing Processes. Recent projects include:
 
  • Aluminium Technology
  • High temperature metal deformation testing and modelling
  • Continuous formation (conform) applications and analysis
  • Improvement and characterisation of primary equivalent recycled aluminium
  • Liquid solder interconnects for high temperature application
