Materials Research Group

Materials Research Group

The Materials Group has an international reputation for the fabrication, analysis and computational modelling of nano/bio materials. We have an interdisciplinary approach, and have active collaborations with biologists, chemists, physicists, computer scientists, and engineers. We are funded from a wide variety of sources including the EPSRC, BBSRC, NESTA, and Sandia National Laboratories.

We run the Materials Library, a materials archive constructed to enable collaboration in the interface between materials scientists and artists, designers, jewellers, architects, and others interested in materials.
