Chelsea and Westminster is ranked by The Care Quality Commission, the independent health watchdog in England, in their 2009 NHS performance ratings as Excellent for both Quality of services and Quality of financial management.
Only 37 out of 392 NHS trusts in England (9 out of 73 NHS trusts in London) achieved a double ‘Excellent’ rating which means it is ranked among the top 9% of NHS trusts in England and among the top 12% of NHS trusts in London.
The hospital is increasingly popular with patients – 90 per cent of patients in the Healthcare Commission’s latest annual patient survey rated their care as ‘Excellent’, ‘Very good’ or ‘Good’.
Resources available to students at the hospital include centres for professional learning and clinical practice, as well as a mentoring network and an advanced Simulation Centre.
The hospital is also centrally located, commutable from a wide area and offers a lively social life – sited just minutes from the bars, restaurants and shops of the King’s Road.
Placements are available to both nursing and midwifery students.
