Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, formed in 2007, and is one of the UK’s first academic health science centres. The NHS Trust is made up of five hospitals: Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital, Western Eye Hospital and St Mary's Hospital (where placements take place).
According to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) data 2009/2010 the Trust performed to a ‘good’ standard in both the use of resources and quality of services. Particular areas of excellence include infection control, cancer waiting time targets and stroke care.
The School has recently been selected as the preferred provider of midwifery education for Imperial, with placements at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea hospitals.
Placements are available for nursing and midwifery students.
