Methodology for Part 3 Application of indicators to the management of desertification at sub-national to European scales (led by KCL)

DESERTLINKS is only one of many initiatives on desertification indicators in progress at the moment. In this part of the project, in Work Package 3.1 a collaborative network will be established with those other initiatives in order to maximise the exchange of information between the scientific and stakeholder communities. In Work Package 3.2 the work on simple and composite indicators at different scales developed in Parts 1 and 2 will be integrated into a desertification indicator system for Mediterranean Europe. In work Package 3.3 the use of indicators and the indicator system in policy and management schemes at national and local scales will be evaluated. Finally, in Work Package 3.4 guidelines on the use of indicators at both scales will be written.
