My thesis

Constructing Social Identity Through Style: A Comparative Sociolinguistic Study Between Kifisia and Peristeri

My thesis seeks to investigate the relationship between social identity (and mainly social class) and speech style, namely how the former is constructed through the latter, on the basis of a comparative study involving people from two areas in Athens, Kifisia (a traditional middle and upper-middle class suburb) and Peristeri (a traditional working class area).
