Political Economy takes as its subject matter the engagement between political power and economic life and its expression in the development, implementation and evaluation of public policy.
The Department of Political Economy's central focus is upon the interface of political science, economic analysis and political theory. This interface is explored in a range of substantive policy areas including health, security, science, employment, energy and competition.
