APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The only way to apply for the Postgraduate Diploma programme is through UCAS.

If you are interested in coming to King’s, you should apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and apply online via the UCAS website (click on 'apply'). Please see the UCAS website for instructions. The UCAS institution code name for King’s is KCL, and the institution code is K60.

The UCAS codes for the different programmes are:
B741 – Adult branch
B731 – Child branch
B761 – Mental Health branch.

 

Please note: Applicants who have successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma programme may apply via the King's online postgraduate portal for the MSc Nursing programme.

 

Aptitude tests

On your Selection Day, you will be asked to complete two short tests in literacy and numeracy.



PERSONAL STATEMENT & SUPPORTING INFORMATION
A personal statement will be required when you apply through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).

FUNDING
Places are funded by the NHS. You will also receive an annual grant of �1,000 and may be eligible for a means-tested bursary. You may also apply for a career development loan, you can find more information at http://www.direct.gov.uk. King's cannot advise you on the value of your NHS Bursary award. You can estimate how much you are likely to receive by using the bursary calculator on the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) website: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk.
