PURPOSE
The PG Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education is designed for individuals with a teaching role in higher education. The programme aims to enhance participants’ understanding and provision of teaching and supervision of undergraduates and postgraduate students. It can be tailored to the specific development needs of participants within the context of their disciplinary and professional field.
DESCRIPTION
The programme aims to enhance participants' understanding of academic practice in higher education and support early career researchers and lecturers in delivering a high quality student learning experience. The programme is modularised to enable participants to shape the programme to their experience and development needs. Topics studied can include student learning, approaches to teaching, evaluating practice, research-teaching nexus, assessment, curriculum design and technology-enhanced learning.
