Advanced Care in Dementia MSc
I am a Psychiatrist and lecturer in Thailand. I wanted to increase my knowledge of dementia issues and enhance the expertise in my field by gaining skills for analysing and improving the health of an ageing population from an interdisciplinary perspective. In addition, I wanted the opportunity to develop my vision and ability into a practical action plan for old age healthcare.

The course has provided me with an in-depth knowledge of dementia and given me the skills to be able to conduct research in the fields of geriatric psychiatry. We have brilliant lecturers on the course who are appraochable and encouraging. My supervisor is incredibly supportive; to receive supervision from world leaders in the field was one of the best experiences I have had.

When I return home, I plan to create and run an interdepartmental memory clinic in my workplace (the Geriatric Psychiatry unit at Thammasat University). Ultimately, I’d like to establish us as a centre of excellence of integrated healthcare for older people.
