I chose to study at King's as it was the first to establish the Endodontic specialisation programme. The department has grown from strength to strength through the years and has a great reputation for producing dental specialists who are equipped with excellent clinical skills as well as a solid foundation in research.
I am thrilled to be able to rub shoulders with the foremost experts in the field and learn from very experienced, yet approachable consultants who constantly encourage me to think 'out of the box' and find new ways to solve clinical problems.
We are also encouraged to give feedback and our opinions are taken into consideration in the process of improving the quality of treatment and patient care. The support system is phenomenal and I've really enjoyed the team spirit and camaraderie which exists among the graduates.
Living in London has been especially exciting as you really can't find a better place to experience the rich melting pot of cultures, enjoy the entertainment, museums, shopping etc. It really makes you feel alive! I would encourage anyone to seize the opportunity to study at King's as you will be thrust into a world of wonderful experiences, both academic and social!
I feel very lucky to have been awarded a full scholarship to study here and I hope to return to Malaysia to join the academic staff and hopefully play a role in producing well-rounded, excellent dentists from our local universities.
