Nursing with registration (graduate entry) PG Dip

I did an undergraduate degree in archaeology and ancient history but when I finished it I had little desire to work in that field. I thought about a career in healthcare after working as a health care assistant on a busy ward. The fact that the PG Dip is a two year course is a major incentive when you already have a degree. I've made some great friends, and its great studying with other students of a similar age and mindset.

The School has been great for supporting students both on the ward and in the classroom, which is always needed on any nursing courses. I love the location of the campus...just a couple of minutes walk to the Thames for some inspirational views of London! A great way to spend a break from the library!

I wanted to go to a university that really put time into their students – and I most certainly have not been let down.

The course is intense, but is perfect for anybody who is prepared to work very hard and obtain their qualification quicker. The opportunity to undertake an elective and work abroad for a month as part of our course was also a huge attraction. Have only 20 people in our class meant learning in an informal and relaxed environment, with lectures well designed to help support us in practice.

The decision to come to Kings as a postgraduate student, five years after my first degree, was not an easy one. However, the rewards of studying nursing at Kings, an institution that encourages independent thinking, evidence-based decision making and cutting-edge research, were just too good to pass up. The mental health PGDip gives you the chance to qualify in two years and get some of the best clinical and academic experience available. Kings have a unique philosophy that links clinical practice with academic research, making the course dynamic, challenging and relevant, but it's not all books and bedpans! Staff and other students are a great source of support and I've met some fantastic, inspiring people on this course.
