Dental Public Health is especially for people, not just dentists, who intend to become planners, managers of services, epidemiologists, health promoters and teachers of public health dental subjects. The programme consists of seven core modules with assignments and written examinations plus a research project in dental public health.

- Research projects linked to research themes within the Unit of Dental Public Health (mainly on oral health inequalities; oral health services and patient-centred outcomes); many students publish their MSc research projects in peer-reviewed journals.
- Practical experience across some of the competencies of Dental Public Health by participating in teaching, research, health services and health promotion activities during placements.
