Modern Foreign Languages Education MA

Initially, I chose to study at King’s College London because of its reputation and location. I go from Waterloo Campus to Strand Campus to attend different lectures, it’s only a ten minute walk overlooking a fantastic view across Waterloo Bridge over the Thames. ‘London is my campus’ is how you truly would feel once you join King’s.

One of the things that impressed me the most is that in my first semester, I had the opportunity to sit one of my modules in Shakespeare’s Globe Theater every Thursday evening. We even had a chance to get on the stage of the Globe, which was an absolutely unforgettable experience that I had never even dreamed of as a student majoring in language education.

King’s has some great facilities and learning resources and I would strongly recommend the short-term modules provided by English Language Center, especially to international students who want to improve their academic writing skills. The modules have helped me a lot with my essay and dissertation writing. Also, I am learning Italian in the evening class provided by Modern Languages Center, which offers almost every foreign language you can think of.

I have also had a wonderful experience living at Wolfson House, one of the halls of residence of King’s. It is located right next to London Bridge, which makes it extremely convenient to go anywhere, and the rent is quite reasonable, probably one of the best deals you can get in central London. Some of my flat mates have become my closest friends. The time I have spent with my ‘gang members’ has become some of the most precious memories of my life.
