Caucasus Policy Institute

DESCRIPTION
The Caucasus Policy Institute is a policy-orientated research organisation established by King’s College London (KCL) in 2004. In recent years the institute’s work has been mainly concentrated on conflict resolution issues. During 2010, CPI plans to focus its study programme more specifically on the security and political aspects of the region’s relations with Russia and Turkey.

The aims of the group are:
  • To provide a high standard of analysis and research on political, economic and security issues affecting the North and South Caucasus and the countries bordering the Caspian and Black Seas.
  • To bring to the attention of governments, international organisations and foreign investors key issues affecting the security and development of the region.
  • To create a network of relevant experts and politicians interested in sharing information and experiences on the regions political, economic and security developments.
  • To organise seminars, discussions groups and conferences on these areas of study in London and in the region.
  • To provide independent analysis to assist policy makers working with governments, international organisations, NGOs and business interests.
