Work, Interaction and Technology

DESCRIPTION
Work, Interaction & Technology (WIT) is an interdisciplinary research centre that specialises in video-based, ethnographic studies of work, organisations and social interaction. Projects are funded by the UK Research Councils, the IST Programmes of the EU, the public services and industry. Current projects include studies of health care (including dentistry, optometry and surgery) command and control, markets, in particular auctions, design, and museums and galleries. Alongside their academic contribution, many of these studies are used to inform the design and development of advanced technologies. Many of the projects are undertaken in close collaboration with academic, industrial and public sector partners in the UK and abroad.
