ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
General entry advice
MPhilStud: a first class degree (or equivalent classification) in which philosophy was the major component is normally expected but particularly strong candidates with a very good 2:1 (or equivalent) classification are also eligible.
Entry requirements for MPhil/PhD: master's degree in philosophy (or in linguistics for those intending to complete linguistics research); a distinction (or equivalent first class classification) is normally expected but particularly strong candidates with a merit (or equivalent) classification are also eligible.
