RESEARCH PROFILE
Major research activity:
- To understand the molecular basis of neurodegeneration, focusing on the way the brain degenerates in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, brain lipid storage diseases and schizophrenia.
- Developmental neurobiology and neural stem cell research.
- Increasing understanding of the mechanisms underlying the cellular organisation of the cerebral cortex.
