RESEARCH PROFILE
Major research activity:
  • To understand the molecular basis of neurodegeneration, focusing on the way the brain degenerates in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, brain lipid storage diseases and schizophrenia.
  • Developmental neurobiology and neural stem cell research.
  • Increasing understanding of the mechanisms underlying the cellular organisation of the cerebral cortex.
